In reply to Ben Edwards.

Thank you so much for the comment and the kind words, Ben! Certifying on the #3 is no joke - a (late) congratulations on an impressive feat of strength! Most people don't understand how hard the Captain of Crush grippers are either. I've come frustratingly close to closing the #2, but haven't done it....yet.

I still work with the grippers, but I've taken more of an "Easy Strength" approach to them as a few of my other goals have been more of a priority lately. I'd be happy to hear any advice you have! I'm also slowly making my way through John Brookfield's "Mastery of Hand Strength," and he makes the case that my thumb strength is in desperate need of some help.

Thanks again for reading and I was just reading your blog and watching a few of your videos. You've got some serious savage strength!

Your bottoms up pressing strength is excellent! I don't think most people appreciate how hard that is on the grip and wrist until they give it a shot - with much less weight than what you're putting up videos of.

I certified on the #3 twelve years ago and still keep a pretty decent level of base hand strength with very minimal grip training. Point is that grip strength is easily maintained with much less time spent than when you first built it.

I know this is an old post that I'm commenting on. But do you still work with the grippers? I'd be happy to share anything I know about gripper training (or other grip stuff) with you. I'm getting so much out of going through your articles that I felt like giving was the right thing to do since I was taking so much for free.
